A West Norfolk school is celebrating after being awarded a prestigious national accolade for its outstanding sports provision.
The Anthony Curton Church of England Primary School in Walpole St peter has won the National Quality Mark for PE and Sport, with distinction.
The award was presented after months of evidence gathering, submission of reports, and scrutiny of sports provision at the school.
It also comes after support staff Lyndsay Hill and Karla Reed, and deputy headteacher Dawn Liddle received their own sports qualifications and awards.
Headteacher Anne Senior said the school was “delighted” to be recognised for the “commitment and high focus we give to sport provision for all our children”.
She added: “The staff work extremely hard to fulfil this commitment, and they deserve the very highest of praise.”
