Achieving outstanding A Level results gave Lynn teenager Sam Sanders more than just a bright future.
It also meant he had the opportunity to meet the Queen.
Sanders, 18, of Springwood High School was invited to Sandringham to be presented with the Queens prize, with a signed copy of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare.
He was joined by proud mum Allison Sanders, and headteacher Andy Johnson, said he spent around 15 minutes chatting to the queen.
Sam, is studying philosophy, politics and economics at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford University, said: “We talked about Oxford, my college, and my course.”
Mrs Cuss (assistant director of Sixth Form) said: “We are so proud of Sam here at Springwood Sixth Form. He worked continuously hard throughout his studies and he is an inspiration to other local students.”
