Children from Sandringham and West Newton CE VA School and Flitcham Primary Academy celebrated NSPCC Number day with a combined Learning Together day in both schools.
The schools are currently in a partnership and will form a formal federation in September, once Sandringham and West Newton becomes an Academy with the Diocese of Norwich Education Academy Trust towards the end of this academic year.
Mrs Gardener, executive headteacher of both schools, said: “The children really enjoy the opportunity to work with an extended year group.
“Children rotated around a series of maths activities in their year groups and lots of maths learning took place, along with new friendships forged”.
Linda Parker, Flitcham’s chair of governors, said: “I think it is a great opportunity for children to work in partnership with other children of the same age.
“It really helps prepare them for life in a larger secondary school and it is also a great opportunity for the staff to work together.”
