A dog that had been running free on the Springwood Estate in Lynn has been captured and now the search is on for her owner.

After seveal evenings of tracking the animal, the small terrier was cornered in Elvington on Christmas Eve by Shaman’s Legacy Dog Rescue and christened Elvie.

Lindsey Forrest, of the animal welfare charity, said: “She is not chipped, so there’s no way of tracing her owners. As Elvie is in such good condition we’re working on the premise that she has ran away from a local home or that she has been dumped in the area. A nationwide appeal has been put out on Facebook using the Doglost team but so far we have had no information.”

If anyone recognises Elvie or has any news regarding her family, please get in touch with Lindsey on 0794 3812827. Proof of ownership will be required.
