Made from over 95,000 Swarovski crystals, a portrait of Elvis Presley created by Hunstanton artist Allen Kew is to go on sale later this month.
Mr Kew started by painting a picture of Elvis and then he began the painstaking task of gluing each crystal, most of which are just two to three milimetres in diameter, on to the 30-in square picture, one by one.
With a mixture of patterns, including his unique swirling design, the colours of the crystals change and refract light in a rainbow spectrum.
Photographed at his studio just before the picture was sent for framing, Mr Kew said: “I’ve worked on this piece on and off for about four months; it took a lot of patience but I loved doing it and am delighted with the end result.”
