Snowdrops snowed off

DEEP snow and continuing freezing conditions caused the cancellation of a charity fundraising group’s first snowdrop walk of the year on Sunday.

Lexham Hall, near Litcham, was to have hosted the first of four snowdrop walks organised by the National Gardens Scheme at locations in Norfolk during February and early March.

Graham Watts, from the NGS, said the Lexham snowdrops were under a thick layer of snow and the weather forecast for the weekend showed no sign of a thaw.
