West Lynn: Boardwalk upgrade

A £70,000 SCHEME to replace a riverside boardwalk is due to get under way within the next few weeks.

West Norfolk Council is replacing the current timber planks in West Lynn with a non-fibreglass decking system from Monday, February 13.

The work to replace approximately 400 metres of timber is expected to take five weeks to complete.

The boardwalk, which is close to the waiting room for the West Lynn ferry, is well used by dog walkers.

A spokesman said: “The works to the ferry waiting room will be undertaken on a Sunday during the contract period, to avoid any disruption to the operation of the ferry.

“A total budget of £70,000 has been earmarked for this project.”
