Lynn Arts Centre has given a warm welcome to three European volunteers.
Anastasiia Parafeniuk, from Ukraine, Csaba Bohm, from Hungary, and Alessio Graldi, from Italy, all joined the Erasmus + programme which gives an opportunity to young people aged from 17-30 years old to do a voluntary experience in Europe for up to a year – and were the lucky three from more than 50 potential applicants.
Elise Prosniewski, assistant director of King’s Lynn Arts Centre Trust, said: “They have brought a new influence to the Arts Centre as well as their wonderful smiles. The organisation is providing them with accommodation; food and modest pocket money and the young people have signed an EVS agreement with us, as well as their sending organisation in their home country.
“Anastasiia has become our new MailChimp Queen, Alessio our official photographer and Csaba is offering a yoga course to keep the team relaxed. Obviously this is only one aspect.
“They are here to try out different experiences and find more about what they would like to do in the future.”
European volunteering is not exclusive to the arts area and each young person has this possibility to go abroad and have an intercultural experience.
If you would like to meet the three volunteers or to find out more about the EVS opportunity, call in at the Arts Centre’s Shakespeare Barn on Saturday, November 7, from 10am-2pm, or call the Arts Centre Trust office on 01553 779095.
