Supporters of the Norfolk Hospice Tapping House are being encouraged to take on a fire walking challenge to help raise funds for the charity.
The hospice is holding its inaugural firewalking challenge at the Gayton Social Club on Friday September 11, from 8pm, and is appealing for volunteers to sign up to take part.
Mark Shea, the hospice’s commercial director, said: “The Fire Walk is very exciting for us, as it’s a brand new event for this year.
“We really believe it will create a big buzz within Norfolk and the Fens, as it will enable local people to do something exhilarating.
“The money raised will enable us to continue to support people who are living with life shortening illnesses and their families free of charge.”
Walkers will be trained from 7pm on the night and there will also be a barbecue, live music and stalls.
Participants must be aged 16 or over and will need to pay a £20 entry fee.
They are also being encouraged to raise at least £80 for the hospice in sponsorship pledges.
