Children at Fairstead Community Primary and Nursery School in Lynn have been making use of the new outside play equipment and area at the school.

There was an official opening when excited pupils gathered to watch as the ribbon was cut by headteacher Hazel Spinks and school council member Kelyce Humeniuk.

Adele Jenkinson, the extended schools co-ordinator, said: “Members of Fairstead School Council designed the all weather play area, giving thought to how it would be used for sensory development. It includes a staged area, and story telling chair, along with a pavilion, and all classes will now be able to use this area in their learning.”
