Musical Keys, the Norfolk-based charity, has secured funding to restart its Fakenham–based music and movement group for under-fives with special or additional Needs.

The group will start up again from September 4 and will be held every Thursday from
1.30 -2.15pm at Fakenham Gateway SureStart Centre on Norwich Road.

Musical Keys music and movement groups not only provide a meaningful and fun activity for little ones with additional needs, but provide a support network for parents, families and carers.

The group helps to encourage speech, language and physical development and build confidence, and is open to all under-fives who need a little extra help. Children do not need to be referred to attend.

Oliver Payne, programme co-ordinator, said, “We are delighted to be able to continue to deliver our music and movement sessions at the Sure Start Centre with support from the Safer Norfolk Fund & Norfolk Community Foundation.

“We have engaged with many children over the years at the Centre who have learnt and developed through our creative and engaging sessions; it is an absolute pleasure to be able to sustain this work and to continue meeting the needs of the children and their families.”
