Residents in Fakenham are being encouraged to get their valuable items security marked in an initiative which is being run by the town’s police team.

Bikes, garden equipment and tools are among the items which can be marked in the programme led by the town’s safer neighbourhood team (SNT).

PCSO Jo Robotham said: “This is being offered as a free service to make valuable items less attractive to thieves and easier for police to identify should it be stolen and later recovered.

“The marking will also be available at street surgeries and is a great opportunity for local residents to meet their policing team and talk about any issues they are having.”

Anyone interested in finding out more about the programme can phone the SNT via the non-emergency 101 number.
