A couple whose son was born prematurely have raised money for the neonatal intensive care unit at Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Gabrielle and Wayne Barker, from Norwich, were transferred to the ward with their second son, Jacob, now one, when he was born a month premature. By way of thanks for the care they received the family have raised £400 for the NICU ward and returned to Lynn to present the cheque and say a personal thanks to the staff they befriended during the difficult time. The £400 was raised over October and November last year through quiz nights with food and music and auction events.
