SCOUTS from the 14th Lynn Scouts were joined by the chairman of the Lynn and District Astronomy Society, Richard Last, for a talk to help them earn a new badge.
Mr Last said he was pleased with the presentations given by the North Wootton-based troop.
He said: “The young people are not only a credit to themselves but a credit to the uniform. Astronomy is not an easy subject and the information they put together was exemplary.
The astronomy society has been helping the students to earn their badge in star-gazing, which involves researching and giving a presentation on space.
They were then asked to answer questions on the topic.
Mr Last said: “The talks were meticulously researched, well thought out and delivered. Despite what could only have been described as a daunting experience, the Scouts met the challenge head on and overcame their difficulties.
“They had managed to learn all 88 constellations and remember them under pressure.
“That is something that even astronomers would struggle with.”
