Respected film critic, journalist and founding presenter of the BBC’s Film review programme from 1972, Barry Norman, CBE, officially opened the new cinema at the Hoste Arms in Burnham Market on Tuesday.

The new fully air conditioned cinema accommodates 20 people in comfort and style and has been designed to the highest standards with cinema style seats, plush carpets and a state of the art sound system.

There will be three film showings per day featuring 100 classic films every month and guests will be able to enjoy a personal waiter service throughout the duration of each film.

The cinema will be available for all guests staying at the hotel and in addition can be booked by non-resident guests for private parties. Barry Norman, left, settles into his seat in the new cinema with Hoste Arms owners, Brendan and Bee Hopkins.
