Fincham Womens Institute members decided to take ‘Tea at the Ritz’ to help mark the organisation’s centenary celebrations.
A good mixture of WI members, both past and present, and some members from other institutes were joined by two vice-chairman and an advisor from the federation for a leisurely afternoon of convivial company.
Organised by secretary Sue Westwood, a total of 70 people participated in the party, which was a complete sell-out, by enjoying a posh homemade tea from posh china, while there were also a number of flower arrangements on display.
A special cake, made by Christine Perry, was cut by Fincham’s eldest member Marjorie Riches, who is 87.
