Stanhoe’s annual flower show celebrated its 30th anniversary on Saturday with a total of 178 entries creating a very colourful display.
Rosemary Brown, who has been show secretary for the last 20 years, said the judges had been very complimentary about the high standards achieved in the flower arranging, arts and crafts and photographic categories.
Vegetables, cookery, arts and crafts and a photographic exhibition mostly attracted good entries.
“We were down in some sections but there were more vegetable entries and the flower section produced a wonderful display despite the poor weather recently,” said Ms Brown, who is pictured above, centre with Ann Deam, left and Pamela Austin.
