Fire crews from two counties attended a kitchen and roof fire in a house in Southery last night.Norfolk fire service were called just before 6.30pm and appliances from Downham Market, Methwold, Kings Lynn and Cambridgeshire attended.

Crews wore breathing apparatus and used hosereel and main jets to put the fire out. An aerial ladder platform was also used to get above the burning roof.

The crews used a thermal imaging camera to check for hot spots after the fire was put out.

A man was treated for smoke inhalation, but there were no serious injuries.
