A man was taken to hospital with minor burns to his hands and face following a fire in a car compound on the West Raynham Airfield site, near Fakenham, on Tuesday afternoon.

Fire crews and paramedics were called to the site shortly after 5pm.

And a cordon, shown above, was set up around the site amid fears that gas cylinders stored within the compound may explode.

At its height, fire crews from six stations, including Lynn, Fakenham and Swaffham, were called to deal with the incident.

One crew remained at the scene overnight to monitor the situation.
