The people behind plans to redevelop Lynn’s former post office say they are still committed to the project.

Telereal Trillium received planning permission in December to redevelop the vacant Blackfriars Street building in a £9 million project.

But no building work has started in the months after West Norfolk planning committee meeting.

A company spokesman said: “We remain committed to the redevelopment of the site and are marketing
the site to potential investors.”

The firm wants to transform the former post office and telephone exchange into flats, retail units and offices along with a café and medical centre.

The building has stood empty since 2007 .
