A series of recruitment events is being held in Swaffham after 50 new jobs were created through the award of a new care contract.

From next month, Carewatch Dereham will be offering domestic care services to people across the area.

The firm announced today that it has been awarded the contract by Norfolk County Council and will hold its first recruitment event at the Assembly Rooms this Thursday, October 29.

Further events will take place at the same venue on the next two Wednesdays, November 4 and 11.

Kevin Nutt, head of bids and contracts for Carewatch, said: “We’re delighted to have been appointed by Norfolk County Council and are committed to delivering a personal, caring and supportive service to the customers of Swaffham.

“We’re looking for compassionate people to join our team of professionals who enable our customers to retain their independence, dignity and security, in their own home.

“This is a demanding but fulfilling career. If you believe you have the right qualities, we’d love to hear from you.”

The company will be offering care to the elderly, adults with learning and physical disabilities, those with mental health needs, people with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease or other long-term illnesses or conditions, those requiring end-of-life care or who have just been discharged from hospital.
