The weekend saw children from West Norfolk bracing themselves for the Lynn Museum Frightening Fens event.

They enjoyed a range of different activities, from old traditional Fen remedies, such as chewing on willow branches, to having cabbage leaves wrapped around their heads from an old Fen wife herself.

The event was organised by Tabitha Runacers, a trainee from the Fenland Lives and Land project, and a spokeswoman for the museum said: “She succeeded in organising a fantastic event with a great turnout, receiving a five out of five star rating from all visitors.”
