Marie Curie ambassador and football pundit Chris Kamara has backed a Norwich and Peterborough Building Society football fundraiser in Lynn which it hopes will shoot it towards its £1million target for their Hour of Need campaign.

The Society’s branch in New Conduit Street is inviting customers and the public to become fundraising fans and support Marie Curie from Monday until Friday, July 1.

There will be a guess the number football sweets in a jar competition with every £20 funding one hour of Marie Curie nursing care.

Lynn branch manager Michelle O’Doherty said: “We’re so proud that customers in Lynn have helped us be on the ball and make this the society’s most successful ever national fundraising campaign. We’re hoping to get plenty of local support for our football themed activities.”
