The recently-appointed head boy and girl at Marshland High School in West Walton are pictured above modelling new uniforms.
Connor Warrington and Megan Marshall are the first pupils to hold the roles of head boy and girl for some time.
School governors have also decided to move towards a formal uniform.
The polo shirts have been replaced by a white shirt and tie.
Headteacher Elizabeth Dormor has praised the new team of prefects.
She said: “These students are to be congratulated for their achievement in being selected to be a prefect, as it was a rigorous process.”
