More than £10,000 has been handed over to two charities supported by West Norfolk’s former mayor during her year in office.

Elizabeth Watson, who stood down from the role last month, raised funds for the Prince’s Trust and the Redwings Horse Sanctuary during her civic year.

Mrs Watson, a councillor for Hunstanton, pictured above second left, presented cheques for £7,500 and £2,583 respectively to the charities at the Lynn Town Hall on Tuesday.
