Four men, aged 51, 38, 33 and 32, have been arrested and bailed until September in connection with a string of thefts from cars in Clenchwarton.

Three vehicles in Beverley Way and two on Main Road were targeted on Friday, while two more were broken into on Linden Road on Saturday.

Items including a laptop computer, a briefcase and an iPod Nano were stolen.

Police have increased patrols in the area and West Norfolk commander, Supt Dennis Lacey, said: “Thieves will be brazen enough to simply walk down a road looking through car windows checking if there is anything worth stealing and target those vehicles – don’t let yours be one of them!”
