Fringe events take over at King’s Lynn churches

Fringe events during the King’s Lynn Festival are planned for Lynn’s London Road Methodist Church and at the Church of Our Lady of the Annunciation, also in London Road.

London Road Methodist Church will host an organ concert next Thursday, from 7.30pm, led by Adrian Richards, musical director of Lynn Minster, and featuring music by Charles Burney, Haydn, Albinoni, Bach and more. All proceeds are for the church.

This will be followed with a concert by the Ringstead Quartet next Sunday at 3pm, with music by Handel, Johan Strauss I and II and Charles Burney. All proceeds will go to the Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy Service.

Tickets for both events cost £6, children go free, and can be booked by calling David Gifford on 01553 631579.

Between July 22-25, the Spectrum Art Group will hold their 2nd Arts and Crafts Exhibition, open daily from 10am to 5pm.

All proceeds will be for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

An exciting festival of music, song and dance from around the worldtakes place over July 18-20 at the Church of Our Lady of the Annunciation, in London Road.

The event will feature dancing, songs from India and the Philippines, King’s Lynn Buskers, Norfolk Reeds, saxophone quartet, Springwood Concert Band and local choirs.

Contact the church for a full programme of events. The event is fundraising for a new organ for the church.
