A fashion show at St Nicholas’ Church Hall in Dersingham on Friday raised money for the South Aisle Families Project.

Dersingham Mother’s Union leader and St Nicholas’ Church secretary Pauline Martin said: “We want to encourage young families to come to church by sitting them at the front of the church instead of the south aisle at the back.”

With the organisation of both Dersingham WI president Gilly Spencer and the Mother’s Union, the clothes supplied by Cheryl Daubney of Allez Chic and the work of models Jackie Scott and Shirley O’Connor, the show attracted attendees and donations from as far as Hunstanton and King’s Lynn.

The South Aisles Families Project being an ongoing one, the success of the fashion show is another step towards the money needed to really bring the diverse churchgoing community of Dersingham together.
