Every screen, in every classroom was tuned in live to Tim Peake’s spacewalk from the International Space Station at Gaywood’s Howard Junior School on Friday.

This was history in the making. The first ‘official’ British astronaut conducting a spacewalk.

Among those watching were Year 4 pupils Alyssa and Oakley, who watched this via an HD link in the Inspire Suite (Norfolk’s digital classroom).

Many pupils said watching this inspired them to learn more about space, enjoy science and wanting to know more about the International Space Station.

They said that Tim Peake was their hero and also how very brave he was too. A total of 205 Howard pupils watched this awe-inspiring event live.
