More than £800 was raised by the children of Howard Junior School in Gaywood on Thursday when they held their very own Race for Life in the school grounds. More than 200 children children of years 5 and 6 took part in the event, with the money pouring in through sponsorship.
Money raised from the event will go to swell the coffers of Cancer Research UK. All pupils who took part got medals for their fantastic efforts
Tonight at Houghton Hall, the adults will take part in their version of Race for Life for the same charity.
The event was organised by Jemma Collett with her colleague Catherine Sugden.
