It was certainly the case of one man’s trash is another man’s treasure during the giant jumble rumble at Lynn’s Vancouver Quarter on Saturday.

The proceeds of the event, which were £730, will be split between West Norfolk Mind and the Lavender Hill Mob, which is the chosen charity of West Norfolk mayor David Whitby.

Councillor Sue Fraser, the organiser, said: “I never thought I would be pleased to become known as the black bin bag lady of Lynn and West Norfolk, but it was a case of the more black bin bags the merrier.”
