Holidaymakers could be glamping on a former brickyard if a new plans come to fruition.
Tim Zoll wants to offer wild rural camping from Brickyard Cottage, Burnham Road, Burnham Overy.
Mr Zoll has applied to offer nine glamping tents and six camping tent pitches.
The application was lodged with West Norfolk Council earlier this week.
The planning statement says: “It is anticipated that there will be a staged development over a number of years starting with two safari tents in the first year, another in the third and so on until there all nine have been established.
The site will be run by the couple who have lived at the brickyard for the last 15 years.”
Each glamping tent will sleep up to six guests and will be fitted out with furniture.
The application adds: “The Old Brickyard at Peterstone is an area of land that was largely forgotten about. Once brick making was abandoned in the early 60s the site started to return to its natural conditions.
Over the last 15 years, the current tenants have cleared paths, rides and clearings. It soon became clear that what was created was an idyllic setting for campers.”
