Two cheques were presented on Thursday afternoon by the volunteers at Hunstanton’s Charity Shop.
Paul Strutt accepted the £1000 cheque on behalf of the Norfolk Accident Rescue Service.
He said: “I’ve been with NARS for two and a half years now and it is wonderful to receive a donation like this.
“We are going to be using it for running costs, that might not sound very glamorous but we all have bills for sundry items and postage that have to be met!
“Currently we have eight responders on the team and we are hoping to increase this to sixteen. It costs £10,000 to train each responder and we are fundraising for this now.”
Collecting a cheque for £250 on behalf of the Henry Le Strange Community Orchard, treasurer Lisa Powell, said: “We want to make the orchard more family friendly and shall be putting this money towards some furniture so people can take their picnics there.
“We are also having some disabled-friendly furniture so people in wheelchairs can also access the area.”
