The first of three roadshows designed to get local people involved in shaping local health and wellbeing activities was held at Hunstanton’s Community Centre.

More than 50 people joined the workshops led by organisations including West Norfolk MIND, the Children’s Centre, the West Norfolk Clinical Commissioning Group, AGE UK, Active Norfolk and King’s Lynn and West Norfolk Council.

Each group concentrated on a separate issue and put together proposals based on their concerns and experiences of health and wellbeing locally.

Participants were also asked what hopes they had for the forthcoming 10 years for health and wellbeing in the town.

Project manager Sean Christie said: “This is the first event of three and I am overwhelmed by the positive response from Hunstanton people.

“The session ran very smoothly and gave everyone with a passion for good health and happiness in Hunstanton to have their say.

“At the end of this consultation period, we will be compiling a report that will be available from the attendees, local libraries, town council and so on.

The next events are at North Lynn on Tuesday, March 11 and Downham Market on Thursday, March 27.
