Green-fingered folk attended an open garden event on Sunday to raise money for the local church.

Villagers from Beachamwell were blessed with good weather as they showed off their beautiful gardens in aid of the ancient thatched round-towered church at St Mary’s.

Among the visitors were South West Norfolk MP and Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Elizabeth Truss and her family.

There were ploughmen’s lunches, afternoon teas, live music in the Old Rectory Garden and organ recitals in the church itself.

A variety of stalls and a raffle helped to raise £1896.37.
