Muggles will not want to miss out on a Harry Potter night or any of the other events to be held at Downham library over the coming months.
Librarians are looking forward to welcoming youngsters for the Harry Potter Book Night on Thursday, February 5, from 4pm.
Other events include a talk by Sandy Reid, of the Road Safety Team, on Tuesday from 1.30pm to 2.30pm. She will be giving free driver sight checks and road safety information. Tea and coffee will be served from 1pm.
This session is being run as part of the Downham Library Friendship Group and there is a £1 charge.
The Scrabble Club which will be meeting between 1pm and 3pm on Tuesdays, February 3 and 17.
Wiltshire Farm Foods and the Health Trainer Service will be in the library from 10am to noon on February 6.
Storytime and crafts will be hosted in the library on Tuesday, February 19, from 10.30am to 11.30am.
The Reading Group is meeting on Tuesday, February 17, from 3pm to 4pm.
Knit and Natter will be getting together on Wednesdays, February 4 and 18, from 1.30pm to 3pm.
The Dementia Friends Session is organised for Tuesday, February 3, from 10.30am to 11.30am.
A tour through the Bowskills plate glass negative collection will be held on February 10, from 1.30pm.
The collection was donated to Lynn library by the Bowskill family and includes a vast number of West Norfolk views and people from the early 1900s. Admission is £1.
Author Jane E James, whose book The Long Weekend is set in Hunstanton, will be visiting the library on Friday, February 20 from 2pm.
A free creative writing taster will run for four weeks from Monday, February 23, between 10am and 2pm.
And you can discover what holistic therapies could do for you during a session on Tuesday, February 24, from 1.30pm to 2.30pm.
