Residents and stakeholders are being invited to have their say on West Norfolk’s council tax support scheme.
The scheme was first introduced in 2013 when the government withdrew council tax benefit and councils were tasked with coming up with their own scheme for council tax support.
Each year the council has to publish and consult on its proposed scheme for the following year.
The draft 2016/17 scheme has now been agreed by members and published on the website at: www.west-norfolk.gov.uk/haveyoursay
Councillor Nick Daubney, council Leader and cabinet member for resources, said: “The proposed scheme can be viewed on our website and I would encourage people to take this opportunity to review our proposals and let us know what they think.
“Once the consultation closes, we will consider all the responses received before finalising the scheme ready for April 1, 2016.”
The consultation is open until 5pm on Friday, October 30.
Anyone wishing to take part in the survey who does not have access to the internet should call the council’s main number 01553 616200 and they will assist by providing information and the survey in a printed format.
