A group of friends who regularly meet in The Bushel and Strike public house inHeacham have potted a small fortune for the Rudham Children’s ward at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

The group challenged themselves to raise as much money as possible for the ward and in just a few weeks raised the healthy sum of £823 from pool matches and a raffle.

Martin Hall, a member of the group said “We are thankful to everyone whocontributed. It was a pleasure to be able to make this donation to the ward.”

Whilst making the cheque donation the group was joined byHeacham’s Pocahontas Players, an amateur dramatic group, who provided patients with a festive sing along.
