Residents in West Norfolk will be able to find out more about looking after their health during an improvement day.
The Wellbeing Team, run by Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust with Mind and Relate, will be running the session at the Providence Street Community Centre, Lynn, tomorrow from 10am to 5pm.
The group’s services will be promoted during the day, which will include counselling, group sessions, therapy and a range of interventions for people with common mental health issues such as anxiety, depression and stress.
Representatives from Mind and Relate will also be on hand to answer questions, while nutritionists can give advice on eating well and health trainers on living a healthy lifestyle. Complimentary therapists will also explain more about their work.
A spokesman for the group said: “The group works in partnership with the Wellbeing service to give feedback on leaflets, websites, questionnaires and other materials targeted at service users, as well as discussing upcoming events and courses.
“We are here to help the professionals to encourage more people to use the service and help further improve the way it is delivered to get the best possible outcomes for everyone.
“Our improvement day is an important part of that work, and will help us to showcase the new service and the help which it offers as well as giving people a range of other advice and guidance on looking after their emotional and physical health.”
Anyone who may be interested in joining the Wellbeing Improvement Team is invited to its regularly monthly meeting, which takes place at 5.30pm on the first Wednesday of each month at the Community Centre in Providence Street.
