A DAUGHTER has donated her hair to the Hepatitis C Trust to complete the work started by her mother in an earlier campaign.

Kirsty Peacock, 20, from Tennyson Avenue in Lynn, said: “My mum was diagnosed with Hepatitis C in 2003 and I wanted to do something for the Trust because they do such good work in raising awareness of the virus as well as supporting those suffering with it.

“It was important to me to complete the work started by my mother in her 2004 Face It campaign she held to help raise awareness of the illness in the area.”

Miss Peacock decided to have her head shaved and after asking for sponsorship she had it done at the Woolpack pub, where she works in Lynn, on Tuesday night.

She said: “I’ve always been a big believer that it is just hair and it will grow back so actually its the simplest thing to give.

“But it was horrible feeling all my hair falling down my back as it was shaved off, and I only had short hair to start with.”

“We’re still counting up the sponsorship and donation money but it’s already come to over £500.”

Landlady Toni Oz said: “It went down ever so well, everyone really enjoyed it and we had a really good turn out.

“We’ll be holding a lot more charity events at the pub from now on.”

Miss Peacock added: “I’d like to thank everyone who donated and came to support me, especially the people at Williams Refrigeration for their help.”
