A collection of local health charities and agencies are holding a Well-Being, Information, Support and Health event at Knights Hill Barn, in Lynn.

The W.I.S.H Day is a unique collaboration which aims to reach out to anyone affected by a long term health issue, with opportunities to meet with professionals who can offer advice.

Tonia King, one of the organisers, said: “Throughout the day you will be able to meet us, have a taster session with our complementary therapists and visit a refreshment area staffed by some of our dedicated volunteers.

“You will also be able to hear talks covering a range of topics including the variety of support and information, rehabilitation facilities and initiatives available locally.”

The session will see stands managed by Big C Norfolk’s Cancer Charity, Norfolk Hospice Tapping House, Macmillan Cancer Information & Support Centre at Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Swaffham and Litcham Hospice, QEH & NHS Foundation Trust and Healthy Communities Project.

Also hosting sessions are King’s Lynn & West Norfolk Parkinson Support Group, Norfolk & Suffolk Palliative Care Academy, Carers Agency Partnership & West Norfolk Carers and many more.

The event on Saturday, May 17, will run from 10am to 3pm.
