Golf, open gardens and a fashion show are just some of a raft of fundraising events lined up over the coming weeks in aid of Norfolk Hospice, Tapping House.
A fashion show and sale is being held at Burnham Market Village Hall organised by the Phoenix Ladies from the village and will feature clothes from the Artichoke collection. The event on Wednesday, May 15, kicks off at 2pm and tickets costing £3 can be bought from the hospice’s fundraising office.
Swaffham Golf Club is hosting this year’s Charity Golf Day for the hospice on Friday, June 13.
The lowland heath course contains various bunkers, as well as tree-lined fairways and is suitable for golfers of all abilities.
The day includes a two-course buffet lunch on completion of the 18-hole course. The hospice has organised a number of competitions on the day including “nearest the pin” and “straightest drive” with many prizes up for grabs.
The hospice is looking for teams of four players, with the standard entry fee being £160 per team (£40 per person).
Alongside the golf will be a charity auction, with prizes including an exclusive tour of the BBC in Norwich and a night’s stay at the Blakeney Hotel.
The Norfolk Hospice is hoping to gain sponsorship for the day with opportunities ranging from £150 through to £5,000 depending on the advertising location. Sponsorship and prize donations would be welcomed for some of the smaller competitions held on the day.
Lindsey Atkin, community and corporate fundraiser at the hospice said: “Last year’s golf day at Swaffham was a huge success. We raised over £7,000 and everyone really enjoyed the day.
“We welcome everyone, from the novice to the professional with full handicaps allowed.”
