Two months have gone by since the Lynn News offered a free pass to a life-changing boot camp experience at Bawsey Pits.
During that time, the Lynn News has regularly reported on the progress of Jacqui Nelligan and Kim Singer, who grabbed the opportunity with both hands.
Together they have lost an amazing 66lbs in two months. It has taken a lot of hard work, but both are firmly on the path towards being healthier, happier people.
Jack Bishop, personal trainer and founder of Bawsey Fitness Boot Camp, said: “Both Kim and Jacqui are doing amazingly well.
“I’m very proud of their commitment, their passion and their determination to succeed.”
Kim said: “Starting the competition at 10st 3lb, I’ve had a loss of 17lb so I am now 9st, and several inches smaller all over.
“Boot Camp, for me, has now become part of my weekly routine, and as hard, cold, wet or tiring as it can be, I do actually miss it when I have work commitments! I am addicted to the training.
“Boot camp has definitely worked for me, and if you are reading this and thinking ‘I can’t do that’, how do you know until you give it a try? Jacqui and I are proof That it works.”
Kim and Jacqui have had a combined total of almost eight inches lost from their waists.
Jacqui said: “I am getting a shape back and am fitting into old clothes, although these are now getting far too big for me.
“Not only is my fat melting but my wellbeing is improved too! I’ve lost 3½st and I honestly feel fantastic.”
Jacqui and Kim are so happy with their boot camp experience both have promised to carry on past the end of the competition.
Furthermore, both have signed up for a gruelling 10km Mucky Races obstacle run, joining their fellow boot campers later next month.
Jack said: “They have never given in, never said no and have always given every session everything they have. And now they are enjoying the fruits of their labour.”
