Young patients will now be able to watch television while waiting for their appointments at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital thanks to a donation from a Lynn widow.
Vera Jackson has given a television and dvd to the Roxburgh Children’s Centre in memory of her late husband Peter.
Mr Jackson enjoyed watching sport, especially cricket, on the television but following his death in January last year, Mrs Jackson wanted it to go to a good cause.
Staff at Hughes took down and delivered the television to the hospital and donated the fixtures and fittings.
Mrs Jackson said: “Peter and I wanted to give something back to the QEH as the staff were really good to my husband and myself.
“I am really grateful to Hughes for their help, it was really kind of them to support me in making this donation.”
Aaron Beck, from Hughes, said: “Hughes are always willing to support good causes such as the hospital and it was a pleasure to support Mrs Jackson in making this donation.”
