The sun shone, people came in their hundreds and stallholders declared themselves delighted with the Lynn News Wedding Fair at Red Barn.
The event on Sunday in South Runcton saw more than 35 exhibitors presenting those visiting the fair with options to consider for their big day.
The event is held twice a year and has become a date to mark in the diary for all those planning to tie the knot in West Norfolk.
Among the exhibitors this time were Treasures The Bridal Shop, Scent with Love florists, AK Expressions photographers, Linda’s Luscious Cupcakes, Goddard’s gentleman’s outfitters, Cindy’s ladies fashion, Stuart House Hotel and Peterborough Cars and Breckland Cakes.
Also making an appearance for the first time were Owl Ringbearers. They brought an eagle owl to the show sparking much interest. The company will undertake to deliver the wedding ring to you at the altar – by flying it to you down the aisle by means of the owl.
The complimentary hog roast was provided by Derrick’s Delicacies and there were sample cocktails by Twilight Bars. Classic Choice Catering provided more tasty morsels for those visiting.
The Body Shop generously gave goodie bags for the first 100 brides-to-be through the doors.
Mark Stanford, events manager for the Lynn News, thanked the Rockcliffe family at the Red Barn for hosting the day and said: “It was a really great event, helped by the weather and we look forward to doing it all again back at the Red Barn on March 22.”
