Children from Hilgay Primary School took part in their own Race For Life in aid of the East Anglia Childrens Hospice.

During the assembly, James Bacon, from EACH, explained what the hospice does for children with life-threatening illnesses, and their families.

Following the assembly, children from Reception to Year 6 went out onto the school field to run four laps of the track.

Parents, family and friends also attended, many joining in with the fun run.

At the end of the day the school had raised a brilliant £146.50.

All of the children went home exhausted, but proud, of their efforts and look forward to doing it all again next year for the school’s nominated charity.
