Flagship foodie event, The North Norfolk Food and Drink Festival 2014 is set to bring a taste of local cuisine to around 10,000 visitors at Holkham Hall this weekend.
Regarded as one of the region’s premier local produce events, the festival takes place on August 30-31 to kick off the county-wide Norfolk Food and Drink Festival 2014 in September and October.
Now in its fifth year, organisers have signed up over 60 stall holders to gather for the two-day celebration, selling produce including real ales, fresh meat and poultry, North Norfolk seafood, vegetables, local honey and saffron, cakes, pies, puddings, tarts and more.
The festival will continue to offer a food-court area with concessions including Arthur Howell’s hog roast, sausages by award winning Fruit Pig Co. and ale by Jo C’s brewery.
Children’s activities include face painting, cooking up “boggle food” with BeWilderwood on stage plus a chance to explore Holkham’s Woodland Play Area.
All weekend, the hugely popular Cookery Theatre will see demonstrations from this year’s wonderfully eclectic line-up. Led as usual by Norfolk farmhouse food guru Mary Kemp, this year’s theatre will inspire and entertain audiences of all ages.
Gates open at 10am and close at 5pm each day, and entry to the festival is free. Find out more at www.northnorfolkfoodfestival.co.uk
