Business was steady all day at the annual Christmas Craft Fair in Holme’s village hall organised by Ann Rossington on behalf of the St Mary’s parish church.

“Everything’s home made,” said Mrs Rossington. “What we are offering is local talents.” Among the wide range of offerings were hand-made Christmas cards, home-produced jams with festive covers, hand-crafted Christmas decorations, knitwear, jewellery and ornamental ironwork pieces. Also very well patronised were the light lunches and teas, organised by Daphne Young. Pictured, some of the fair’s helpers at Heather Rees’ (third left) stall.
