More than 30 prizes were given away at a coffee day held in Swaffham in aid of the East Anglian Children’s Hospices (EACH) Hook appeal.

The event, held at the Lydney House Hotel in Norwich Road, was organised by EACH charity shop volunteer Sue Whittley, alongside the wives and partners of town Rotary club members.

And a total of £1317.59 was raised for the appeal.

Prizes which were on offer in one of the three raffles held during the day included a patchwork quilt, specially made for the charity by Freda O’Brien, and jewellery made by silversmith Thea Morriss.

Mrs Whittley has thanked the hotel proprietors, David and Sarah Impey, for hosting the event, as well as the businesses and residents who supported it.
