Hundreds of people are estimated to have backed a campaign to save the NHS when it came to the streets of Lynn at the weekend.

More than 20 campaigners gathered signatures for the nationwide 38 Degrees petition in the town’s High Street on Saturday.

And Les Thurlow, pictured above, fourth from right, estimated that between 500 and 1,000 people had backed the campaign.

He said: “We’ve done petitions before for the NHS and it’s always well received. Pictured in Lynn High Street with Mr Thurlow are, from left, Thomas Sutcliffe, Dave Dennis, Kelly Terry, Michael De Whalley, Sean Quinn, Jo Rust, Gary Bramham, Shane Peplow and Peter Davis.
